Data Protection

General Information on Data Processing

Scope of Processing of Personal Data

The processing of our users’ personal data is limited to the data required for the provision of a properly functioning website and of our content and services. This processing of personal data of our users is only carried out for the purposes agreed with them, or where there is some other legal basis for it within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Only those personal data are collected that are actually required for the execution and processing of our tasks and services, or that you have made available to us voluntarily.

Description and Scope of Data Processing

Provision of the Website

Every time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information about the computer system of the calling computer.

The following data are collected: information about the browser type and version used, the operating system used, the Internet service provider, the IP address, the date and time of access, and the websites from which our website was accessed.

We store this information (log files) for a period of up to 24 hours. The data are stored for reasons of data security in order to ensure the stability and operational reliability of our system.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94.043, USA, (hereinafter referred to as “Google”) to evaluate website usage. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your computer. The information contained in these cookies about the visitor’s use of the website and Internet may be processed and evaluated by Google.

The data collected by Google may be transmitted by Google to countries outside the EU and the EEA, in particular to the USA. Google has, however, submitted to the Privacy Shield Framework. You can find more information about your rights at ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection.

In addition, we ensure that your IP address is anonymized before being transmitted to Google. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics can be found in Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google DoubleClick and Google Tag Manager

On this website, besides the standard configuration of Google Analytics, extended functions are also used, which assist in providing interest-based advertising based on the surfing behavior of users. To do so, Google Analytics uses a third-party cookie from DoubleClick to evaluate data about the surfing behavior of users on various websites. These data can be used to make statistical statements about demographic data and areas of interest of website users.

Please note that we cannot view data about individual users, and that we cannot trace the statistical data we use back to specific users.

Some of our website visitors will see our advertisements on other websites after they have visited our website. This form of ad placement is called “remarketing” or “retargeting.” If you object to the placement of these advertisements, we recommend that you make use of the options available to website users in order to deactivate website tracking. Google also allows you to manage cookies yourself for ad preferences: policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en

This website also uses the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. Tags are small code elements that are used, for example, to measure website traffic and visitor behavior. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags; it does not place any cookies, and therefore no personal data are collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which may in turn collect data, but it does not access such data. If a deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, this remains valid for all tracking tags that are implemented by the Google Tag Manager.

You can find all the information about the Google Tag Manager here: www.google.com/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy

The legal basis for the data processed by cookies can be found in Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies can stay valid until you delete them in your browser.
